  1. Using two windows at one time

    Our providers are requesting that they be able to work out of two different windows in the EMR at one time. For instance, when typing a letter, you have to minimize that letter in order to go into a different part of the patients chart. It would be nice to have two things up at once, side by side for comparison.

  2. Open Multiple Windows

    We would like to be able to open multiple windows at the same time within the EMR. For example: When providers are interpreting lab results, they like to be able to look at medications the patient is on. Currently, they have to close the lab result window to open the med list, then close the med list to go back to the lab results. This is very time consuming and inefficient. Also, the nurses and medical assistants also need to have multiple windows open sometimes, for instance, if they are trying to talk to a patient about a message and…

  3. Auto save.

    Description of Request:
    It would be beneficial to have the system auto save the encounters every couple of minutes or so in case the system goes down or the wireless gets dropped so the provider doesn't lose their encounter.

  4. Auto-populate text while typing

    Was suggested by a client to have the EMR have an option where it could auto-populate text while typing that pulls in words from the dictionary, or list words that are similar to what is currently being typed into various EMR text fields.

    Thank you for your feedback on the MicroMD product! While this item has not been selected for development we are excited about future plans for future documentation. For example, one alternative we will be evaluating based on more recent feedback is the concept of dot phrases. For those unfamiliar with dot phrases, they are in short, the ability to import a block of text with a simple keyboard macro.  Similar to our Quick Text function but much more efficient.

  5. Ability to close all open charts on a particular computer rather than one at a time in EMR

    When we have 8-10 charts open on a particular computer, we cannot open more charts until they are closed. Can we have a functionality to close all open charts at once (a tab top right) because it is time consuming to close them one at a time.

  6. Ability to upload PDF, Word etc. in Patient Portal Forms

    Ability to upload PDF files, Word document, etc. as a form in the Patient Portal Forms instead of using the Form builder.

    Requested Steps to define spec:

    1. Log into Henry Schein Secure Chart
    2. Go to Admin tab
    3. Manage Forms
    4. Create new form
    5. Upload file…
    6. Enter a file
    7. Save

    Expected Result:
    after uploading a form file, patients can then file out the form and submit it or print it out and bring it to the practice.

  7. Appointments to Portal

    Have all new appointments optionally send to the portal. Today practices need to subscribe to another appointment reminder service even though they have another avenue they already subscribe to that can communicate with the patients (the portal). While maybe not as robust as a full appointment reminder service, it would allow some form of communication about the appointment without another subscription.

  8. icd-10 update

    Please make a faster way to make a code obsolete. For example, the code K85.9 is no longer an active code for 2017. This code exists in my list over 20 times. I have to edit each one to click make obsolete or change the code. There should be a way to make the change on the code level instead of the description level. So I could select that code and make it obsolete once, or create a faster way to change theses codes. This is one example of many

  9. Using scroll bar in DMS multipage document should reset the view at top of "next" page viewed

    Desktop > Document Manager
    Open a multi-page document > scroll to bottom of image
    Go to next page

    Would like the image to open at the top of the next page, but instead it remains at the same portion of the page in which the user scrolled previously.

  10. Limit the information that is published with the CCR/CCD

    Add the ability for the CCR/CCD to select what you would like to pubish. Practices are not wanting certain information, like lab results, problem list, meds, immunizations, vitals, soc or family history to be published to the patient's portal.

  11. Copy documents directly into EMR without printing and then scanning

    If we need to post a document into the chart from a website (such as ASCVD risk calculator, etc.) we have to print it from the website, then scan and then input into EMR in the patients chart. Why not eliminate all the unnecessary steps??

  12. Publish an Encounter to Patient Portal from Print Encounter

    Ability to Publish an Encounter from the Print Encounter screen.

    Requested Steps to define spec:

    1. Open an Encounter
    2. Click on Encounter Report from Encounter Ribbon
    3. Select Publish to Patient Portal

    Expected Result:
    Publish an Encounter from the Print Encounter screen

    Current Result:

    Must Preview or Print Encounter then Batch to Batch Basket then Publish from Batch Basket.

    Impact on Workflow:

    This is time consuming for an office.

  14. Need ability to auto-populate bill builder when a Screening and Prevention Procedure is Performed

    When a Screening and Prevention Procedure is done by the Nurse or ancillary staff, we need to have the bill builder populate this information directly into bill builder without having to add this information into a separate Order or Template

  15. Add Meaningful Use Measure Checks to Rule Manager Conditions

    Add Meaningful Use measure checks to the conditions within the Rule Manager. For instance, upon opening a chart, check "____" meaningful use measure.

    Example: Opening a chart (or starting an encounter), if the requirements for CQM NQF0002 has not been fulfilled, display a box that lets the user know that they need to address this measure.

  16. Add the ability to view password reset acitivity in the patient portal secure chart

    When the password for a patient in secure chart is reset, the same activity should be recorded in the patient log section in secure chart.
    The staff not knowing that the password was reset, try to reset the password again and making the 1st password reset useless. If the password reset tracking was available to the staff, they would not reset the password the second time.

  17. "Create Order" Checkbox Automatically Checked For Referral Orders

    It would be nice to include a "User Preference" item to automatically check the "Create Order" checkbox within the encounter for specific plan types (i.e., Referral, Lab, etc.).

    Most of the time, when items are added to the encounter's "Plan" area, the checkbox for "Create Order" needs to be checked. Enabling the provider to have this checkbox automatically checked for ALL of that specific plan type items would prevent many of the issues that arise by the providers run across by not having this checkbox checked. This checkbox should override any “Expert settings” option that selects/unselects this checkbox.

    This suggestion has been entered into our internal system for review ref id 25701
    This will not be reviewed at this time. There is logic in place with expert settings and templates as to when to check and not check the box. Many changes have been made over the years and it is currently at a spot that everyone is used to. We will not be making any changes here.

  18. When choosing an ICD9 or CPT code in Reference Viewer, have option to display: Written description of code, code itself or both

    Example: We have a surgery scheduling form we made and thave inserted an option for a 'refernce list viewer" to choose the appropriate ICD9 code and CPT code for the surgery scheduler to correctly schedule. When choosing the appropriate code and inserting it, the description vs the chosen description AND code are displayed on the form. The scheduler needs the CODE more than the description and I would like the option to display: code itself, description itself or both

    When bringing a new center online the History Recorder is a great tool and would be an all inclusive area for data entry (when converting a practice from paper to electronic) if the following areas were included:
    Immunizations
    Screening & Prevention
    LT/Other Medications
    Patient Pharmacy

  20. Items Due/Missed Display on Encounter Ribbon

    Just like the Test Result button lights up on the encounter ribbon, we need a featured button that incorporates ALL items DUE/MISSED (Immunizations, Screening and Prevention)
