icd-10 update
Please make a faster way to make a code obsolete. For example, the code K85.9 is no longer an active code for 2017. This code exists in my list over 20 times. I have to edit each one to click make obsolete or change the code. There should be a way to make the change on the code level instead of the description level. So I could select that code and make it obsolete once, or create a faster way to change theses codes. This is one example of many

I would like to have away to make mass changes to ICD-10 codes or a faster way to update them. For example, E78.0 became an obsolete code as of October 1, 2016. However, in order to make sure that a provider doesn't use it I have to either change every instance of it in the EMR (25 instances). This is one example. There are hundreds of codes that need to be updated at the end of every year and we need a way to do this faster.

Thank You for your suggestion, there is an indicator warning within the encounter and bill builder if the code is used from a problem list. Lookup list of codes within an encounter will not show inactive codes.

There needs to be a way to deactivate a code (ICD-9 or 10 or CPT) so that once it is no longer an active code the provider is prompted not to use it any longer. There are codes that exist in a patient's problem list that may no longer be active codes for a certain calendar year. The provider is automatically choosing a code that isn't active, and it is having to be changed when billing the claim. Sometime querying has to happen to see which replacement code needs to be used.
