EMR mail
The MicroMD EMR mail could use some enhancements. Firstly, it needs an option to "save as draft". It's very frustrating to be in the middle of typing a message, need to navigate to a different screen due to an interruption, and not be able to save that message and go back to it. Having to re-type the message is very time consuming. Secondly, it would be nice to have sub-folders so that incoming mail can be sorted. A lot of times, users don't want to mark their messages as "read" because they will go away, and it's something they want…

Allow mail to include link to open specific Encounter
Allow users to include link to a specific Patient Encounter for ease of editing for providers. Example, Billing/Coder finds error with selected CPT, DX or missing documentation. Biller/Coder then sends mail message with problem and link to open encounter for editing/revision.

Update Orders when updated in the Encounter
If a provider starts an encounter and creates an order for one user (say John Doe) and then, after the order is created, the provider decides to change the order (i.e., the user to which it is assigned, diagnosis, etc.), the order that is already created is not updated with this information. However, if the provider ADDs something to the order (like another lab panel), the order is updated to reflect this change. Removing or modifying an existing panel, adding a diagnosis, nor modifying the "Assigned To" does not trigger the update.
Similar results happen with other types of orders…

Test Results - Patient Phone Show Primary Phone
Within the Desktop > Test Results area, the "Patient Phone" field displays the "Home" phone number of the patient. This has no dependence on which phone number is set as the primary and/or secondary phone number within the patient's account. It would make sense and be very useful to have the PRIMARY phone number display in this area, regardless of which phone number that would be. With this always displaying a home phone number, the user would need to open the patient's chart in order to determine if that was the correct phone number to call in order to discuss…

Multiple Page DMS Settings
When you open a document in DMS and modify the settings (such as Zoom, Rotation, etc.) and then switch to another page in the document, all of these settings are reverted to the defaults. They should remain set per the user's choice while moving between pages.

Inactivate Rules in Rule Manager
Within the Rule Manager, include an option to "Inactivate" a specific rule. This keeps the user from having to delete a Rule for any reason (such as testing). Also, include the ability to re-activate the rule if needed in the future. When creating a rule, allow the user to indicate a starting and ending date for the rule.
Example: Create a field that would allow you to indicate when a rule would begin to start popping up for staff and also an ending date for it to stop, at which time the rule would just inactivate.13 votesThis was completed in version 18. Thank you for all of your feedback!

Link Admin Forms to Encounters
Provide the ability to link or incorporate an admin form with an encounter. Even better would be to create the Template and have the Form(s) linked you need completed as an extra tab to be completed within the Encounter Builder/Wizard
Example: Diabetic Foot Exam Admin Form to the Diabetic Encounter, ASQ Forms to Pediatric Well Visit Encounters13 votesThis was completed in version 19. Thank you to everyone for your feedback!

Add "Electronically signed by <provider name> <date> <time>" to signed-off lab results, and make this print when lab results are printed
The provider name who saw the result, and the date and time when they saw it, should be associated with each lab result in the EMR, and if the lab result is printed, it should show on the printed version. The provider (user),date and time would come from when the provider presses the button "Mark as Viewed".
Expected Result: Show provider name, date and time the provider pressed the Mark as Seen button for each lab result marked as seen.
Actual Result: Onscreen and printed versions of the lab results are appended by the date time and provider who marked…12 votesMicroMD ref id 21490 version 15.0

Adding problems to problem list
Our providers would like, when they are adding a problem to the problem list from the encounter, for the problem to be greyed-out if it's already in the problem list. That way they cannot add the same problem to the problem list multiple times.

Rules to look at Screening & Prevention as well as the encounter.
I'm not sure what other areas have this same issue, but when a rule is created to remind a user that a particular screening has not been done. Per MicroMD support, the rule will only look at encounters to verify the code and not that the code was used in screening and prevention. Based on this logic users are misled when a screening has actually been done for a patient but the EMR Rule is being triggered saying it has not. MicroMD Log 382102

Find/Replace Procedure/Diagnosis codes in templates
We need a automatic way to find/replace procedures and diagnosis codes in all template areas. When a new item comes out we need a easy way to identify what templates have those items in it and a fast solution to replace old codes with newer codes.
Example: New flu vaccine code comes out, have the ability to search all templates that would include the old flu code and then you have the option to auto replace those items by selecting the templates listed and it replaces all the old codes with the new one selected.

Screening and Prevention Integration
When any lab or study (examples an A1C or mammogram) that is in an S&P template is added to the EHR the program should automatically update the S&P program. With lab results this could occur automatically at the time of the result being entered or being received through a lab interface. With image files, etc it could be a simple radio button near the comment ("add to S&P template").

DMS needs options to print and batch custom page ranges from its documents
Often times the user will open a document from DMS that is multiple pages. The user will then need to print or fax some of those pages, but not all of them. There isn't anyway to do this without extended time and effort with PDF printing, saving new documents or rescanning documents. EMR needs to have the print custom page range built into the program without using PDF printing. Also, "batch page" should be an answer, but it's completely broken. If you batch page 1 of a 3 page document, the entire 3 pages will be batched.

Diagnosis Descriptions Not Accurate
If we had the ability to delete the dianosis codes that are not accurate (we can only edit), then I could make sure the codes in there are the ones the provider chooses. For example, code 796.9 means "Other nonspecific abnormal findings" but in the EMR, there are over 100+ descriptions for this code that range from "decreased coughing" to "hip pain". If the provider chooses that code for hip pain, but it comes over to PM for billing, it not specific enough and gets denied. I have been putting "XX" in the description, but it's hard to catch all…

Multipage/Multipatient faxes
When attaching several pages for the same patient from within a multipage/multi-patient fax, could it be made possible to attach as one instead of several separate attachments and having to indicate that they are pages 1/2, 2/2, etc.? For example: Attach page 1,2,3, or 4-8.

End Date for Screening and Prevention
Add end date, age range or allow active dates to be defined in Screening and Prevention.
Requested Steps to define spec: Allows Screening and Prevention programs to be automatically deactivated after a certain period of time or after a certain age. Would be set up in the details along with the begin date and how often it should be repeated.
Expected Result: No way to define an end date
