  1. Modify Vital Sign Headers

    1. What is the problem or paint point you are hoping to solve with this new feature?
      Obesity medicine practice, the provider is asking for changes to the Vital signs screen. They need to capture the patient's waist circumference as well as hip circumference.

    2. Can you provide any specific use cases or scenarios for this feature?
      They are a weight clinic which needs to keep track of specific information not listed under vital signs, they would like the option to modify or add additional trackers.

    From the "Medical Summary", select multiple attachments to print at once rather than going through them individually and sending to printer.

    A check box next to each attachment or "select all" and print them as a single document rather than page by page

  3. LTM to automatically update when prescribing new dose/frequency

    Current steps
    1. Add any medication to the LTM list from Med Info section
    2. Open a new encounter
    3. Add the SAME prescription to medication section update the dosage frequency (I increased the units)
    4. Once you filled out sig, click the Add to LTM shorcut
    5. On the window that ask do you want to update, click YES
    6. Window opens to Medications but does not update the section automatically.

    When the user clicks the YES button to update they expect the system to update automatically, not for it to open the window for them to manually update…

  4. Publish Letters

    When in the Medical Information window under letters the publish button tries to send a list of letters to the portal instead of the actual letter. The publish button should send the letter you are highlighted on instead of a list. The list is not useful information to publish.
    Also, when you are in the letter include a Publish button to save clicks.

  5. Change Patient Monitor Button

    The button to open the Patient Monitor within the EMR is a question mark ("?"). Traditionally with applications a question mark indicates a "Help" menu where someone could find FAQ's, manuals, etc. so this is not intuitive at all. A better option would be to change this icon to the "i" in a bubble that is often used to indicate additional information is available and would be much more intuitive to users.

  7. Single View Encounter Medication Step - Add enhancements

    Single view encounter medication step: recommend the medication step list the patients current medications and have the option to highlight and represcribe, terminate or continue similar to the past prescriptions area.

    When I go to the medications tab I have to click quick lookup, select smart, select patient current medications, insert. If it was listed, I could click to highlight then just click re-prescribe similar to the past medications.

  8. Using Stock should allow <1 in Qty field

    When administering vaccines from stock the qty will not allow <1 in the qty field. We typically use ml for "units" and need to be able to use 0.5 ml of a vaccine.

    Example: Vaccine A vial holds 10ml and is given at 0.5ml per patient meaning it will provide 20 dosages.
    Current workaround is not to use ml and use "each/unit", double the qty of stock added and use 1 for each patient. Using ml is proper documentation though.

  9. Send Check-Out Information from PM to EMR

    When a patient is checked-out in the PM application, this should cross over to the EMR and update the Scheduled Visits list to indicate that the patient has checked-out. Currently, staff is having to create a status in the patient router and manually set the patient to that option in order to indicate that the patient is no longer there.

  10. bilateral

    Within the surgical history you have the options for unilateral left, unilateral right, left and right but no bilateral. If you could please add bilateral as an option it would be appreciated.
    For example, we are a general surgery office and bilateral inguinal hernia repair is not uncommon.

  11. Re-Assigning Orders

    Description of Request: When Re-Assigning user task in the EMR, we would like to see an option to re-assign orders (labs, nursing, procedure, etc.)

  12. Spell Check in EMR impression section

    We would like to add a spell check option in the impression. This is available if you open the large impression box, but it's not available in the smaller box which is what most of our providers use.

  13. EMR mail

    The MicroMD EMR mail could use some enhancements. Firstly, it needs an option to "save as draft". It's very frustrating to be in the middle of typing a message, need to navigate to a different screen due to an interruption, and not be able to save that message and go back to it. Having to re-type the message is very time consuming. Secondly, it would be nice to have sub-folders so that incoming mail can be sorted. A lot of times, users don't want to mark their messages as "read" because they will go away, and it's something they want…

  14. Loinc codes for EPDS Questionnaire

    Var Name: Community Partners Healthnet
    Client Name: Nuestra Clinica Del Valle
    Contact Name: Courtney Smith

    Description of Request: The client would like to have certain loinc codes associated with answers to the EPDS questionnaire. I have attached a spreadsheet that contains the answers and associated loic codes.

    Actual Result: As of right now, the loincs for the questions themselves shows up but not for the answers

    Impact on Workflow: Cannot accurately document loinc codes for questionnaire answers given

  16. Behavioral Health Questionnaire Section Shouldn't Need Abbreviation

    When creating a new Behavioral Health Questionnaire and creating a new "Section", you have the option of entering in a "Section Abbreviation". However, if you choose not to use an abbreviation, once the questionnaire is loaded within a patient's chart, these section headers do not appear. If a "Section Abbreviation" IS entered on the section header, the section headers appear as would be expected (It displays both the "Section Name" and "Section Abbreviation" fields).

    HSMS support states that this would be a feature request for the section headers to display without an abbreviation entered. Nowhere is the user prompted that…

  18. End Date for Screening and Prevention

    Add end date, age range or allow active dates to be defined in Screening and Prevention.
    Requested Steps to define spec: Allows Screening and Prevention programs to be automatically deactivated after a certain period of time or after a certain age. Would be set up in the details along with the begin date and how often it should be repeated.
    Expected Result: No way to define an end date
    Actual Result: Ability to define an end date
    Impact on Workflow: currently have to go in and manually deactivate screening and prevention programs for each patient.

  19. Check-in kiosk for registration and medical info update in lobby

    Consider integration or in house build of a kiosk that allows patients to check in the lobby using ipad or other mobile device. Allows patient to review and update information, pay their copay and any outstanding balance, and view/update/complete medical information like medical history, medication history, allergies, reason for current visit and review of systems that is associated with current visit. That information is automatically available or updated in EMR and PM system. See attached diagram to show options that a third party company phreesia has for patient check in kiosk.

  20. Provide the ability to "deselect all" when editing Portal Update records

    At present when editing portal update records the system defaults to "Include all" and there is no option to "exclude all" so that the provider might selectively determine which portions of the CDA to publish to the patient. This has resulted in a serious workflow problem for my providers. For example, an 80-year-old patient who has been seen in the office multiple times in the last few months is receiving a full CDA every time there is an update to her labs or other related records.
