Screening & Prevention - Auto Apply/Refresh
We have many S&P templates created with rules applied. What would be great would be if those would auto-apply/refresh based on the user preference when you start an encounter, open the patient monitor, or open a chart. We do not want to required staff to navigate to S&P section for that process to happen.
The majority of the time a workflow starts in the Desktop on Scheduled Visits and the staff will either access the Patient Monitor or start the Encounter. Auto-refresh should happen then trigger looking at S&P and we would want those to catch all the updates that…

Pack history calculator/report
We would like a pack history calculator added to the medical calculators. Pack history is = packs of cigarettes smoked per day X number of years smoked. This outcome is needed to determine if the patient qualifies for lung cancer screening. If this calculator could also be located in the habits window, that would be extremely helpful, so they can input the results there.
If the pack history could be entered in a structured format in the habits area, that would be even better. We need to be able to run a report of patients who have at least a…

Encounter > Plan shifts cursor to top when deleting an item
In the Encounter (using the Builder) under the Plan tab...
If you have several sections like Procedures, Labs, etc and you delete something from one of the lower sections, it re-positions the cursor back up to the very top section. Can this be changed to position it in the section you were deleting from?

Send and Attach Letters to Charts
There are many instances where a practice can be sending a letter to a large amount of patients, such as a provider leaving. There is currently no way in the software to document a letter in a large amount of patient charts.
If there was a way to create and attach a letter from the reports section or the group encounters section of the EMR, it would be very beneficial. This allows the clinic to use a mail merge letter and attach it to all the charts instead of doing it one by one.

Add a Not Equal To option for reports
A Not Equal To option is needed for all reports where a Equal To option is currently.
Specifically a client was asking for this on a procedure report to see a list of patients who have not had a COVID-19 vaccine at their clinic. Ideally, this would be needed for any report where you wanted to see a list of patients who did not have a specific ICD-10, CPT, CVX codes etcetera in their chart. You could also use this for the Ethnicity, Family Size, Gender Identity, Marital Status, Race, etcetera fields to isolate an item you need to exclude.…4 votes -
Disable or Warn on "Request Sent" For Outbound Lab Orders with Interface
For practices that have an outbound laboratory interface (e.g., LabCorp, Quest, etc.), it is required that the staff switch the status of the order to "Specimen Collected" in order to send the order electronically. However, even after numerous trainings occasionally, staff still switch the status to "Request Sent" thinking that the order will be sent electronically and, obviously, it will not. It would be great if the system would prevent this option from being selected for practices with these interfaces. If it cannot be prevented, at least include a pop-up warning message stating something similar to "Choosing this status will…

Next Appt. in Test Results/Desktop navigator
The providers have requested a "next appointment" line in the Test Results tab under the desktop navigator. When reviewing their lab results here, it would be nice to know when the patients next appt. is so they know what kind of action to take in notifying the patient of there results. Right now they have to open the patient's chart to see this information. If there could be a Next Appt. line populate at the bottom in the preview pane, that would be wonderful!

spell check
It would be beneficial to have an appropriate spell check, not one that checks every single word, throughout the entire system, but specifically in the encounter section. The current spell check checks every single work in the encounter. It would be nice if the spell check only checked misspelled words. It would be even more helpful if the spellcheck was similar to a Word or Google document where it would underline in red if a word was misspelled. Thanks!

Open multiple attachments at a one time.
Before version 18 you could have multiple attachments open. Now you cannot open more than one attachment at a time. I know there is an option to open DMS and open multiple documents there but being able to open multiple attachments is a lot easier for our providers and staff.

Organize and Process Orders By Location
Include the ability to create and organize orders by a given location/department). For instance, for multi-location practices, often providers/users float between locations. But with the ability to assign orders to a given location, the organization can create/filter orders that were placed for that individual location. This enhancement would need to include both the ability to specify the location on the order as well as a filter option on the Desktop similar to the provider filter.
If the order is created within an encounter, it could default to use the location where the encounter is created. If the order is created…

see schedule while in note
It would be very beneficial to be able to view the schedule/patients checked in while in an encounter. It is very time consuming to have to exit an encounter while charting to see if we have patients ready for provider.

Referral order print secondary phone number
Currently the referral order print out shows the patient's primary phone number. We would like the print out to also show the patient's secondary phone number.

Scheduled On filter or column on orders
Procedure and referral orders have a place to enter scheduled on date and time. I would like to be able to filter or sort by the scheduled on date in order to follow up. Right now I have to open each order to check the scheduled on date. No way to easily see or filter on that scheduled date.

Allow editing a letter when attachment viewer is open (see screenshot)
(2.) When writing a letter, I have the ability to open the patient monitor from the (3.) "?" in the upper right. If I want to view an attachment (3.) I click on attachments, (4.) open the attachment and DMS view opens. However, if I want to edit the letter I was working on, I have to first close the (4.) attachment view. DMS is still open, and if I want to review multiple attachments while writing my letter, I have to close the (4.) attachment viewer before editing. See screenshot. numbers are noted on screenshot

immunizations
The Immunizations screen should sort the dates administered, given, missed, and future and have them in chronological order for each vaccine. They are currently listed in the order they are inputed.

Print option on popup Patient Portal patient login name/password and way to view the information again after popup.
currently, there is no way to print the generated patient login name and password when the program generates it within EMR. There needs to be a print button. Also, once the popup window is off the screen, there is no way to view what the system generated for the patient login name and password for the patient portal. There should be a way to view the generated login name and password, after the popup is off the screen.
4 votesThe Portal button in the chart can open the setup window to see the portal user name. Access to the password is done from the portal administration where the current password reset for the portal resides. The EMR does not receive updates to the passwords after the initial setup so having the initial password which may have already been changed could be confusing.

Allow the signature on encounters to be used more than 10 times
When a provider signs their encounter, they should have the ability to use that signature for more than just the next 10 encounters. It would be nice to have a setting in user preferences to allow the user to choose how many encounters they can use the signature for, possibly up to 50 times, before having to put their signature in again. This would be especially useful for a provider who also needs to co-sign for a mid-level.

Communication Preference easily visible
Show the communication preference chosen in the PM in areas easily accessible in the EMR. Display on Phone Message, Portal memo and messages (Mail) functions and Test Results so staff can see if preferences are selected in PM to prevent communication by the incorrect method.

Associated Diagnosis on CliniGuides
I would love to be able to create ? (mark as question) items under the associated diagnosis option when making CliniGuides. This would just simply be a time saver with ordering labs. When you have labcorp staff working in the EMR, our staff have to complete the window, Labcorp staff are not allowed to pull in the codes. Having proper codes available for selection with the "mark as question" would make this job easier in the encounter for our staff.
