  1. Deactivate portal account from EMR

We have a patients who have decided not to use their portal. I deactivate their account on the portal admin side, so they should not receive any more messages. However in the EMR, they still show an active portal account. This leads the provider to believe that the patient is receiving the message, lab results, etc. when in reality they are not. Can you add a way to deactivate the portal account in the EMR?

  2. Spacing on printed Med Info Report

When looking at the Medical Information Report, the Problem List can be hard to read if there are a lot of entries for a patient. Some providers like to add comments to the diagnosis codes, and when printed, the area becomes cluttered looking.

Some sort of spacing after each diagnosis code or bolding of the diagnosis code and description could potentially make this area easier to read and cleaner looking.

  3. Sort Patient Portal Users in EMR Manager

Within the EMR Manager, when you add/edit/delete a portal user (Communication > Patient Portal > Edit > Step 4 of 4), the listed users are in order by the date they were entered into the application. Likewise the list is the same when creating the mapping on a user within the EMR (Access > Map to Ext Sys > MicroMD Patient Portal).

Not having this list in a useful order is a nightmare for practices with a large number of users. For instance, if the organization has 100 patient portal users and one of the users needs to have his/her…

  4. Add Right - additional restrictions

Adjust the rights for "Add templates to shared" to allow you to check off each template type (same style as unidentified items). We have large organizations that needs to limit Shared access to specific areas.

    Consider the following areas:

  5. Changing Shading on Screening and Prevention Dates

As of right now, the due dates for Screening and Prevention do not change colors until the day the program becomes due. This doesn't feel like ample time to give the clinic and patient enough of a heads up to get the patient in in a timely manner.

A practice preference setting in the EMR Manager could be used to say "mark S & P as due ____ days in advance rather than have it marked as due on the day of."

  6. Vital Entry window to display trend

It would be nice for the Vital entry screen to:
    1. OK--Display the last height/weight/BP/BMI over in the "gray"
    2. Better-- have a trend arrow and give the calculation of the increase/decrease etc while entering

  7. Medical Information changes

Providers have asked for the ability to include any and all medical information areas that are added, updated, or terminated. It is nice the system keeps up with the area that is Reviewed but should go one step further and include the details into the encounter.
Specifically, it is hard to track medication changes and history updates if you are going back to see other provider notes. If these changes were listed the provider would not have to type out all the details each time.

  8. Mail message TO field

Users wants to either have the TO field defaulted via a user preference under tools or a drop down to pull a common list so she doesn't have to open an extra window every time.

The drop down list could mimic the the drop down from Scheduled Visits or could be like the drop down for justifying diagnosis for a lab order.

  9. BMI

    EMR- VITAL SIGNS AREA:
BMI: The area under the HT/WT/BMI area where it says "BMI not taken". We are a bariatric surgery office and it would be more accurate to say, "BMI not calculated" because you do not take a patients BMI. You take their height and their weight to obtain the BMI calculation.
This reasons for inability to calculate are not accurately portrayed in the drop down reasons provided. It should possibly state: 1. Unable to weigh due to scale limit, 2. Patient refuses weight, 3. Unable to measure height, 4. Pt unable to stand, 5. Scale not available,…

  11. edit LTM from encounter

Right now if you prescribe a new medication during an encounter, it is very easy to add it to the LTM by clicking a button and filling out a form. However, if you want to change a medication that is already in the LTM (change a diagnosis or frequency, etc.) you have to click edit LTM, then find the medication on the list, then click edit, then if you want to change the dose you have to search for the new medication.

It would be great if you could click edit LTM and have it at the very least open…

  12. Restricted chart access for new EMR users

We have certain patients who want to restrict access to their chart to only their provider and medical assistant. When we add a new EMR user, it automatically gives them access to all patients charts. I can't possibly remember all the charts we have restricted over the years, and remember to go into those charts and remove the new user each time. Is there a way to streamline this process?

I find myself going into charts that are supposed to be restricted, and discovering that all of our new EMR users also have access to these charts.

  15. Hearing Screening Graphs

    Var Name: Community Partners Healthnet
Client Name: West Caldwell Health Council
    Contact Name: Courtney Smith

Description of Request: When working with the Hearing Screening graphs, the top set of numbers doesn't cover the entire range that the clinic is able to use. The Hearing Examination section is too in-depth for a Medical Assistant to use. The clinic would like to the graph numbers to match the graphs from the Hearing Examination. Or give the clinic the ability to change the ranges on the graphs.

Requested Steps to define spec: The clinic would like to the graph numbers to match the…

  16. When we are ordering new in house labs through encounter, source of specimen should be hard core saved with respect to the lab

When we are ordering new in house labs through encounter, we would like the source of specimen to be hard core saved with respect to the lab. In cliniguide, in plan section, when you are adding the labs with question mark, there should be a selection that you can add the source of specimen for each lab. when you load an encounter and make the particular lab a paper (when you order the lab)the source should come along with the lab ordered. "source of specimen has to be there with the lab"per clia guideline. Rght now it is a very…

  17. Revised Encounters

It makes the summary tab look kind of messy when a patient has several encounter notes that have been revised. We would like the original encounters to be accessible somehow, but only the latest revision to appear on the summary screen. When you uncheck the "revised encounter" in user preferences, it takes both the original and the revision away.

  18. Lock incoming faxes that another user has open

If a user is filing a fax, the system should lock the fax so that another user can't also open the fax and file it. Currently everyone can open the same fax and file it at the same time.

Add billing preparation audit additions to Audit Report options in the reports area. The send to billing button audit is not available in the standard audit report options. This audit would be great in the reports area.

  20. Form Template/Encounter Report - Problem

While I understand the Form Template is meant to printout using the "print form" option.....it would help if it could also print all info onto the Encounter Report.

If you use encounter buttons, or medical info buttons on a Form Template, whatever is used there will print on an Encounter Report anyway. However, checkboxes, picklists, labels, textboxes, etc. will not print on the Encounter Report.

Can you come up with a way that the user can have any info on the Form print on the Encounter Report?
