  2. Patient Portal Landing Page

We have had a couple of clients express concern over the appearance of the landing page of the Patient Portal. The concern is that because the Henry Schein name and logo appear as the main header on the page, it is taking focus away from the name of their practice and has caused some confusion to their patients.

With the introduction of the new rules for 2014 Meaningful Use, naturally there is an increase in interest and use of the Secure Chart. More training is taking place and therefore more exposure of the portal and we are hearing more and…

  3. Enlarge attachment icon when having mouse pointer hovering over them

Make attachment icons much larger when hovering over them with the mouse pointer. We work on tablets and the screens are 17 or 18 inch. The documents enlarge too small in order to decipher what document we want to select when we hover over it with the mouse pointer.

  5. Ability to rotate faxes for better viewing

When opening a fax it would be nice if you had the ability to rotate it on the screen. Currently if the fax comes in upside down you are stuck with it.

  7. Add a button to collapse RxHub medication entries in RxHub window

    Var Name: Main Street Medical
    Client Name: Gregory Machiko, M.D.
    Contact Name: Jim Popp
Description of Request: When you open the RxHub medications window, the medications open in "expanded" mode, showing all the detail of fill dates. We understand this was a Surescripts requirement for certification, but it makes the RxHub meds area difficult to use if you are using it to add meds to LTM or Other meds in the patient chart by pressing the LTM and Other buttons. The expanded mode makes you scroll through a lot of space to see all them medication line entries. If you…

  9. Referral Order Insurance Selection

On referral orders, the insurance pre-populates with either the primary or secondary insurances available, and only two insurances for selection, from the dropdown. There needs to be the option for a third insurance, or all insurances that are associated with that patient. For example a tertiery insurance or Worker's Compensation. This is especially true for any sub-account patients. Currently, it only allows you to select from the primary account insurances. If the patient is a sub-account, but has their own (self) Worker's Compensation insurance, you do not have the option of selecting that insurance. All insurances that are associated with…

  10. When a user prints an order for an In-House custom lab panel, make the names of the constituent panels print on the order

Currently, if a user enters a custom lab panel in the EMR Manager (example: System = In-House, Custom Lab Panel Name= "Follow-Up Diabetes", Constituent Panels= 1. Basic Metabolic Panel, 2. HbA1C). If you create an order and print the order, what prints is "Follow-Up Diabetes". The practice would like the following to print: "1. Basic Metabolic Panel, 2. HbA1C". The reason: This feature (printing all constituent panels and tests) would allow them to enter the order through the EMR and save it there, and print a copy and give it to the patient to take to the Lab.
    Requested Steps…

    Var Name: Main Street Medical
Client Name: Drs. Rabinowitz and Ciesielka

Description of Request: Currently, if a user enters a custom lab panel in the EMR Manager (example: System = Quest, Custom Lab Panel Name= "Follow-Up Diabetes", Constituent Panels= 1. Basic Metabolic Panel 10165F, 2. HbA1C 496X). If you create an order and print the order, what prints is "Follow-Up Diabetes". The practice would like the following to print: "1. Thank You for your suggestion. The suggestions that you or your client is requesting is not under the control of MicroMD, MicroMD follows the specifications that Quest outlines. They control what the Id’s and naming conventions along with what is printed on their order printout. We cannot make changes to this due to Quest national specification and certifications, these requests for custom orders, naming and altering printout should be taken to your Quest representative. We would need written specifications and authorization from Quest to allow for any changes to MicroMD for Quest orders.

  12. Desktop item for Outstanding Lab Items

Provider would like an item on the desktop that lists all lab orders that have not been completed/resulted. This would allow them to monitor to make sure all orders are being completed.

  13. MD comments on faxed labs

Make any comments the MD writes on labs private to our office. Currently, if we need to fax labs to another office after the MD has commented on the labs in the analysis field, those comments are on the results that are being faxed.

  14. Add patient problem list filters to enc assessments

We would like to be able to not see the inactive or resolved problems from the problem list when we are searching for a problem on the assessment tab and review of problems of an encounter note. Add ability similiar to what the med info area has where you can filter inactive, resolved, current.

  15. When a user opens the dialog to add a piece of medical information, set the focus to the dropdown for the common list for that category

When a user goes to, for instance, Social History, and presses the Add button to add an item, in the dialog box that opens, set the focus to the dropdown for the Social History Common list instead of No history of. If it was set to the common list for the category, the user could start to type immediately, and get on or close to the common list item they want to add. As it is now, they have to go to the mouse to set the focus manually on that dropdown, and that takes time.

  16. Create filter for chart summary at user preferences

Create a filter for chart summary at user preferences that when set at user pref level, will apply to all patient charts. The client wishes to see encounters only for specific providers, and while that ability is available at the patient chart level, it resets every time you close a patient chart and has to be reset for the next patient chart.
Requested Steps: Tools, User Preferences, Chart Summary Options, Display only specific providers for all items already checked on chart summary options.
Expected result: Provider or user will move from patient chart to patient chart and not have to…

  17. Co-sign reports: Time range and list of encounters reviewed ?

State requires 10% of NP charts co-signed. Settings work fine. Report is NOT ACCURATE unless both NP and MD start at the same time (NP started 4 years ago, new MD - reports show WAY LOW percentage (had not used before). Would also be nice to be able to print off a list of encounters that were co-signed, instead of just a number report and tell the inspector to go look at random charts to see the actual co-sign.

  18. Menstruation and Menopause History to show age along with date

When adding a Menstruation or Menopause History to Woman's Health > Menstruation History > Menarche, it currently changes the age to a date and it's difficult to quickly get the age at which the patient started one of these. Providers use the actual age to determine quickly if the patient may be at a higher risk of certain diseases. It would be much easier to do this if it displayed the actual age along with the date for both the start of menstruation and the start of menopause.

Description of Request: PCP to show in Bill Builder and print in Billing Preparation report

    Requested Steps to define spec:

    1. From Patient chart
    2. Encounter Tab
    3. Admin button
    4. Bill Builder opens up
    5. Print button
    6. Print button

    Expected Result:
when printing the billing preparation report from the Bill Builder, the PCP along with the Referring Provider must print. Also, the PCP should show in the Bill Builder as well.

  20. The ability to change the results to on an order

The ability to change the 'results to' on a lab order during the encounter or the ability to edit the order and change the results to after the order is entered
Our busy obgyn practice only forwards the results onto the doctor if the results are abnormal. If the results are normal they go to the nurse and do not require the doctor to view them
