Today's vitals should be included on the care plan. Pediatricians' patients/parents would like to see weight and height and head circumference and elder patients would like to see their B/P.

Link Admin Forms to Encounters
Provide the ability to link or incorporate an admin form with an encounter. Even better would be to create the Template and have the Form(s) linked you need completed as an extra tab to be completed within the Encounter Builder/Wizard
Example: Diabetic Foot Exam Admin Form to the Diabetic Encounter, ASQ Forms to Pediatric Well Visit Encounters13 votesThis was completed in version 19. Thank you to everyone for your feedback!

Reports which can include inactive charts
Allow the reports feature of the EMR to also pull data from inactivate charts. If it cannot always be done this way, allow the user to select the option to include inactive charts.
Requested Steps to define spec: Key component
Expected Result: This will allow users to run reports on data for a specified length of time. We use reports to monitor progress made for our quarterly outcomes reports and to confirm we are providing the highest level of care available.
Because this is not presently available and data stored in text encounters cannot be retrieved outside of the EMR,…5 votesCompleted in version 11

portal patient attach document
Our patients are requesting a way to send us documents via the portal. However, there is no way for them to attach something or upload something to us.
4 votesThis is a new portal enhancement available shortly and will be enhanced in ver 12.0.3 to bring the msgs into the EMR.

Birth History--3 fields--Height, Head and Chest
The fields are not long enough to correctly report the length/width of measurements. If a baby is 18 and 3/4 inches long, you can only report as 18.7 instead of 18.75 inches, same with the Circumrence of Head and width of Chest. Unfortunately the State Of Maine audit did not look favorably on this, reported or accuracy in the comment field of the encounter.

Get rid of the parade of windows and create a flowing progress note that is easy to navigate and visualiize without so many clicks
Get rid of the parade of windows and create a flowing progress note that is easy to navigate and visualiize without so many clicks. it is impossible to see the whole note and keep track of things without seeing the whole note. The preview feature does not update in real time. Very frustrating--the whole progress note creation should be restructured, as it does not work in its current format.

Find/Replace Procedure/Diagnosis codes in templates
We need a automatic way to find/replace procedures and diagnosis codes in all template areas. When a new item comes out we need a easy way to identify what templates have those items in it and a fast solution to replace old codes with newer codes.
Example: New flu vaccine code comes out, have the ability to search all templates that would include the old flu code and then you have the option to auto replace those items by selecting the templates listed and it replaces all the old codes with the new one selected.

Medication list in the encounter
When a provider reviews the medication list in the encounter. The dosage is not fully displayed. The provider is forced to click on each medication and view it in the window below the list. When a patient has many medications this becomes a very slow process. I would like to see this widow enlarged to view all the information at once. This will allow the provider to move through this process much quicker

Send only one e-mail to patient when publishing chart to the portal.
When publishing the chart to the portal, the patient receives between 4 and 6 emails stating the portal was updated. This confuses the patient. We use this when patients are seen to update the portal information. They get the 6 emails, and then get frustrated and ask to be removed from the portal.
6 votesThe portal will wait 5 minutes before sending the email. Meaning everything that gets published within 5 minutes only gets one email. This was put in to solve the issues of multiple emails when the CDA/CCR/CCD, etc gets published. This was rolled out in a portal update and did not require any MicroMD application changes.

Provide the ability to actually publish document you are looking at from Portal Updates on Desktop
Under portal Updates, we do see different data categories like Medications, Allergies and lab results. Unfortunately, the Publish capability does not allow you to publish the actual document (like for example the lab results) - Under Publish - You have the capability to publish message only, List, Do not publish and Show Log. However, it does not have the capability to publish the actual lab result etc.

New idea...
MicroMD EMR reports, whether an Encounter Report or Clinical Summary, or a HITECH or CQM Report, do not display the MicroMD name and/or logo.
Clients that have been audited for Meaningful Use, have to produce the reports used during attestation. There is nothing to say the report was produced from the software.
Not to mention when referring to another provider of care, it would be a nice endorsement to have the MicroMD name appear on any documentation provided in the transition of care.
1 voteReference MicroMD id 1646. This enhancement is being added to future version 9 of MicroMD which will be available late 2014.

Add "Electronically signed by <provider name> <date> <time>" to signed-off lab results, and make this print when lab results are printed
The provider name who saw the result, and the date and time when they saw it, should be associated with each lab result in the EMR, and if the lab result is printed, it should show on the printed version. The provider (user),date and time would come from when the provider presses the button "Mark as Viewed".
Expected Result: Show provider name, date and time the provider pressed the Mark as Seen button for each lab result marked as seen.
Actual Result: Onscreen and printed versions of the lab results are appended by the date time and provider who marked…12 votesMicroMD ref id 21490 version 15.0

Add ability to enter full middle name in PM
As more programs are interfaced with MicroMD, the need to include the entire middle name of patients will be essential. The state immunization registry requires one name only in the first name field. We have many patients who have two middle initials or go by their middle name. We have been including the middle name or both initials in the first name field but can no longer do so for the interface to function properly.

Lab Monitoring
Just like the Fax Monitoring and Prescription Monitoring function, it would be great to be able to have a Lab Monitoring function within the Administration area. A quick easy way to see if the lab requisition was sent successfully, or had any sort of issues being processed when sending the lab requisition. Breaking down the statuses and information, much like the prescription monitor does.
2 votesThe suggested function is currently available within the application.See comments

Add a 'Select All' check box option to the Batch Basket
When faxing or printing items from the Batch Basket, being able to 'select all' items listed would greatly reduce the tedious task of having to click each item individually, especially since it does not take long for the tally of docs to add up.
2 votesThe function you suggest is available within the application. When you click on the “Select” button on the right hand side of the Batch Basket header, just above the Status column header label, you can then choose All or None.
This suggestion status will be marked as completed, again thank you for the suggestion, if you still have a question about the select all function please contact Software Support.
