Pediatric depression test added to EMR to meet CQM & MU
We are a pediatric office and to meet CQM & MU we are required to do a depression scale on patients, the only depression scale in EMR is for older folks, We need this for pediatric office.

New idea...
MicroMD EMR reports, whether an Encounter Report or Clinical Summary, or a HITECH or CQM Report, do not display the MicroMD name and/or logo.
Clients that have been audited for Meaningful Use, have to produce the reports used during attestation. There is nothing to say the report was produced from the software.
Not to mention when referring to another provider of care, it would be a nice endorsement to have the MicroMD name appear on any documentation provided in the transition of care.

Add "Electronically signed by <provider name> <date> <time>" to signed-off lab results, and make this print when lab results are printed
The provider name who saw the result, and the date and time when they saw it, should be associated with each lab result in the EMR, and if the lab result is printed, it should show on the printed version. The provider (user),date and time would come from when the provider presses the button "Mark as Viewed".
Expected Result: Show provider name, date and time the provider pressed the Mark as Seen button for each lab result marked as seen.

Add ability to enter full middle name in PM
As more programs are interfaced with MicroMD, the need to include the entire middle name of patients will be essential. The state immunization registry requires one name only in the first name field. We have many patients who have two middle initials or go by their middle name. We have been including the middle name or both initials in the first name field but can no longer do so for the interface to function properly.

Lab Monitoring
Just like the Fax Monitoring and Prescription Monitoring function, it would be great to be able to have a Lab Monitoring function within the Administration area. A quick easy way to see if the lab requisition was sent successfully, or had any sort of issues being processed when sending the lab requisition. Breaking down the statuses and information, much like the prescription monitor does.

Add a 'Select All' check box option to the Batch Basket
When faxing or printing items from the Batch Basket, being able to 'select all' items listed would greatly reduce the tedious task of having to click each item individually, especially since it does not take long for the tally of docs to add up.
2 votesThe function you suggest is available within the application. When you click on the “Select” button on the right hand side of the Batch Basket header, just above the Status column header label, you can then choose All or None.

Surgical Procedure in template
When creating a custom encounter report, letter template, or referral letter template it would be nice to be able to the surgical procedures to the report, letter, etc. The surgical procedures field is not an available option to choose from to add to the report. This information would be more useful in the report or referral letter than most of the other options available. Also, it would be nice to have surgical procedures as an available option on the Medical Information step of an encounter.

portal enhancements
I will post thihs idea but I do not know how many users use the portal. I use it heavily and have developed some ideas for further use. I have given these to the programmers before for future enhancements as well. Everytime time patient responds to a portal message or everytime a message is sent, there is no record of this "conversation' in the chart. This is considered the same a a phone message and has been an issue in some malpractice cases. I have used the email and sms messaging in the portal to be able to respond more…

When printing the HITECH Measures Report, the date filter does not print what time period that the report is being run for.
Have the date filters print on the HITECH Measures Report, to show the date range that the report is being run for. This could be critical in showing (audit purposes) the information that coordinates with the numbers that are being submitted for attestation. Currently, you have to take screenshots to show what time period was pulled.

We need to be able to see the cell phone number on the demographic page in addition to the home phone number.
Please add the cell phone number to the demographics page of the patient. This is the number more and more patients are using.

Description of Request: Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse information needs to be safeguarded from being released with other medical records. Several Behavioral Health Providers participated in a conference call with CPH folks a year or so back and were assured that this was in the pipeline. Please help me make this a reality!
Requested Steps to define spec: Place Firewall/additional restriction to Behavioral Health records so that they cannot be viewed or released without additional privilege/access.

Revise printing of patient care plan so that it flows from page to page with no wasted space.
Description of request: Revise how the Patient Care plan prints so that it prints concisely only for the number of pages needed.

Add MRN on chart face, to left of patient name
add the MRN number on the face of the patient chart, to the left of where the Name presently appears
Client uses MRN number in their practice exclusively to ensure HIPAA guidelines are met and not breached. They rarely refer to the patient by name when accessing medical information.

Reduce the number of clicks it takes a provider to sign an encounter
Currently it takes a least 5 clicks for a provider to sign an encounter from his encounter list on the desktop. The number of clicks it takes a provider to do anything is always an issue with providers. Is there anyway this can be reduced to allow the provider to sign encounters quicker?

Surgical Procedure date range
Within an encounter, when you choose to print the Surgical Procedure on the encounter report, the entire list of surgical procedures ever done on this patient get printed on the encounter report, not just the procedure done during this encounter. Would be very helpful to have a date range when choosing to print the surgical procedure on the encounter report so that a user could choose to print just today's surgical procedure that pertains to just this encounter. This is a critical problem to a dermatologist who might do many surgical procedures within just a 6 month period.

Contradictory checkboxes
When you check "present", "yes", etc. in the checkboxes then the contradictory response should automatically uncheck. To do this, they should be in brackets like this [present|absent], [yes|no], etc. so if you click on one side the other side would be unhighlighted.

Maintain expanded ROS and PE fields
When navigating the review and objective fields, you have the option of expanding the list to view it more efficiently. I NEVER use the checkbox fields as they create awkward English when printed or viewed--I free text the field details. When one navigates away to another window, then returns to these windows, the expanded list is not available and one has to click on the expansion icons again. Creates multiple clicks. We should have the option of always viewing the expanded lists in Preferences.
