  1. Add comments to referral orders that remain private to office

To be able to add notes to referral tech or notes about steps taken in a referral that will remain in office and not be printed out on the referral. Things like "pt wants this scheduled on a Tuesday, or in Lake Buterl" Or "other office requested more information on 6/14/13"

  2. EMR logins to be limited to one per username at any given time

Is there any way an enhancement can be built into the system that would prevent a user from signing in to the EMR with the same username more than once? I think this would tremendously help especially if that is an underlying cause of issues/slowness under the hood of the system. We know that certain practice managers were (and probably still are) guilty of this as they sign into the system as the physicians to double check things on a daily basis. And although we stress the importance of not doing this, we really don’t have a way to enforce…

  3. Long Term Medications to READ Current Medications

Where it current states LongTerm Medications in Encounter Reports and other information being sent out to referring providers, we would prefer it said current medications as that more accurately reflects the information being sent.

  4. More Characters Allowed in Quick Text Areas

Allow more characters in the Quick Text for comments areas when in an encounter. These areas would include the QT for comments in the Assessment and the QT for Impressions. Specialty practices, such as orthopedics, have a lot of information that needs to go in these areas, and the Quick Text areas would work great, but the QT is limited in characters and they cannot fit everything they need.

  5. Complexity of Decision Making in the encounter level

When addressing the Complexity of Decision Making in the encounter level calculator you are not able to choose more than one option when using the check boxes under the problems/options step. Do properly calculate the level of an encounter you need to be able to choose more than one option. A patient may have established problems that they are being seen for and the provider finds another new problem during the visit that they also address. Providers use these options to garner points toward their encounter level and if the system doesn't allow them to make more than one choice…

  7. Report for Phone Messages

It would be helpful if the
system could generate that report for us. In order to
do that, we would need a time stamp for the Status
box at the bottom of the message box. It already has
a date but some urgent messages require response
within hours, not days. Therefore we would need the
report to be able to document the turnaround time
within hours. In summary, we need a report that shows
the number of hours from the time a telephone
message was taken until the status is changed to
    completed.

  8. Duplicated orders

When multiple templates are loaded or an encounter copied, then a template loaded the system applies all labs/procedures, it should be smart enough to know to not duplicated procedure, or at least send a warning that you have duplicate items.

  9. Not Allow Users to Save to Password Protected DMS Folders

Description of Request: There is a current function in the EMR DMS that allows users to password protect folders. The password stops uses from viewing the contents of the folder, but users are still permitted to save to folder and view attachments from charts that are saved in that password protected folder.

Nuestra would like to see the password prompt show up when trying to open the folder in DMS (as it does now), when trying to save attachments to the folder from the EMR Desktop or patient chart or when viewing attachments from the patient chart that are located…

  10. Add active flag in insurance plan manager

When changing an insurance status in PM from Active to Inactive or deleting the plan, the customer would like for this status change to update the Insurance Manager in the EMR. Add an active flag in the EMR plan details to hide inactive plans when searching in the insurance manger.

Expected Result: Add flag in the EMR plan details which in the Insurance Manager in EMR to reflect changes made in the PM when activating/inactivating insurances.

Actual Result: The user who is updating the insurances under the Maint tab in the PM has to update the Insurance Manager in the…

  11. Show Procedure Codes in EMR Manager

When creating a Practice Preferred list, it would be extremely helpful if the procedure codes showed up for Plans and Labs either at the beginning or end of the text or appeared in hover text. As of right now, the individual who is making the list does not know what labs are the correct ones since all that is displayed is text.

Requested Steps to define spec: In the EMR Manager, under Reference Lists, go to the Practice Preferred Lists. Here you will see on the right hand screen there are tabs. Greene County Health Care would like for procedure…

  12. Patient Portal Passwords stored with a hash

For the Patient Portal passwords to be stored with some type of hash in the database itself. When an error is displayed during the publishing, the password is displayed in plain text.

Expected Result: For the person querying the table not to see plain text passwords or the password to should not be displayed in plain text in an error message

Actual Result: password is displayed in plain text

  13. Pateint Education Date

there is currently no way to edit the date Patient Education was given. If we forget to document the patient education, you cannot go back and do it the next day. You should be able to edit the date.

  14. Portal messages with attachments

Currently, if you send a message with an attachment (like a lab result) to a patient's portal it does not show up in the workflow communicator. It would be nice if it would show up in the workflow communicator and be an item that could show up in the patient's summary.

  15. Option to add a custom web link.

Users would like the ability to add a custom web link that can be opened within the EMR. Similar to how a "General Search" or "Latest News" can be easily selected. A custom field in the User Preferences -> Miscellaneous Category under the Internet section were a user can add any web link. Once they have specified a desired link in this field that would also show in the Prescription Pad window like the others do. At this point from within the Prescription Pad window they could click the I and click "Custom Link" and open the predetermined site.

  16. Lab orders created through encounters

When a lab order is created through an encounter, we would like to be able to send lab requests together as a group, independent of how the collection method. For example, if a provider creates orders for 5 different lab panels through an encounter, and 2 of the specimens were collected and 3 were for external draws we should be able to choose the appropriate drop down for the collection method and send all the lab requests. Currently, if lab orders with different collection methods have been created through the encounter by the provider the labs have to be deleted…

  18. Pharmacy Search Performance

When on the "Prescription Pad" window, when searching for a pharmacy, there are significant delays in the characters appearing and the search occurring. The more characters entered, the slower it becomes. It seems that these delays are the same that we used to have in many places throughout the EMR, but the search window was modified to only search after the user pressed "Enter" or waited for a second or two. Maybe this window was missed when modifying the search areas? We were told by your support staff that this would be a feature request in order to put the…

  20. Publishing without viewing option for the Patient Care Plan

Description of Request: Have an option to publish without viewing the patient care plan because it can take some time for the document to load just to click publish.
Requested Steps to define spec: Similar to the patient education, have an option to publish the patient care plan without viewing.
Expected Result: bypasses the loading process of the document to publish
Actual Result: currently have to wait for the document to load to publish
Impact on Workflow: time wasted on waiting
