Merge Fields Addition for Templates
Currently the only way to add Doctor's additional credentials to a template is to manually type it in on the report template. This information is not available in a merge field. If there are multiple doctors in the practice, this provider would have to have their own report template.
If the practice providers setup had additional fields such as Credential #1, Credential #2, Credential #3 and make these available as merge fields for encounter report, letters, admin reports. ei: ABA certified in Anesthesiology and Pain.1 vote -
Change Lab Order Date
Have the ability to allow anyone, with proper permissions, to change the date of an order. Currently only the ordering person (provider) can change the date once saved. For example, if a patient misses a future blood draw order by a couple of days, the front desk or nurse that created the order can't change the date. It hasn't been performed so they want the correct date in the system. To do this they have to track down the ordering provider and have them change it. Sometimes the provider is not in the office and a duplicate order has to…

Administrative Form Templates
When creating these for surgery centers it would be nice if we could insert the scanned image of the patient's insurance card. This would eliminate the necessity of adding fields and would give the surgery center all the insurance information they require.

Patient Care Plan Options - have a user preference or system setting to allow these items to be defaulted
Currently the system auto checkmarks all of the boxes and practices or providers would have to deselect each item they do not want published. Providers are asking that they be able to set the default. For example they may not ever want the labs to be published.

Bulk Patient CDA Export - Ability to export by appointment date range
Would be nice to have the ability to export patient's CDA by a date range of when the patient was seen.

Ability to easily add patient's current medications to an encounter note
Suggestion was that this could be done on the medication step of an encounter and have a check box for refill not required at this time, similar to sample given. If this cannot be done at least allow for current prescribed medication to be added to a text template . At present you can only add LTM and other.

Change History to show who viewed items in Summary not just in Encounter
Right now the only way to see who viewed an item is by going in an encounter or opening a new encounter and then going into Review and then Change History. If you want to see who viewed an item in the Chart Summary and select Change History it only shows those items that were changed and not viewed. It would be more logical to see who viewed from the Chart Summary. Example if a provider needed to show to show legally when they viewed an attachment (as in a legal case) the only way to do that now is…

Rx Details in Summary tab needs access to rx history
Currently you have to have "Write Prescription" permission to doubleclick on a Rx to view details in the Summary tab. This impacts workflow when a patient calls in inquiring about why their Rx hasn't made it to the pharmacy. Most of these calls are handled by front desk personnel and if they don't have "Write Prescription" permission they can go to the workflow communication to see the rx request history. However it would be nice to access the rx history right from the summary tab.

Rule Template
Additional Conditions for Triggering Rules should be Lab Orders, Insurance Carrier (Not just Insurance TYPE the way S&P provides). This would really help us with CQMs and with Pass-thru billing.
Requested Steps to define spec: Add additional fields
Expected Result: You would have the option to use a lab CPT not just a procedure codeActual Result: cannot trigger anything on ordering labs on patient with X insurance
Impact on Workflow:practice losing money on labs

Patient Portal: "Read" Messages Clutter Inbox
When a user is logged into the Patient Portal's administration application, they are constantly bombarded with "Read" messages coming from the patients. While this is good information to receive, it is hard to filter out the messages that warrant action on behalf of the user. Currently, the only option that the user has is to "Archive" these messages as they come in. For a practice that is receiving a very high number of these messages, this can be a very time-consuming process. It would be nice to either:
A) Be able to filter the messages to be able to only…

Wizard templates ability to modify margins and correct spacing between sub-headings
wizard templates automatically add lines between sub-headings (SOAP) if a provider doesn't document in one area there are extra spaces left that need to be manually edited during creation of the encounter report. Also the margins are not modifiable which would be helpful.

Common List Error - DX is already in cliniguide list
It would be helpful if the providers could still select a diagnosis (assessment) from his or her common list even if that DX is listed in the encounter cliniguide. Providers need to be able to use the lists in any manner that helps them work most efficiently. Sometimes they may want to click on the yellow question mark, sometimes they may want to search in the common. Keep in mind we are on ICD10, the cliniguide lists can get lengthy. Maybe an alternative is to create a search function in the cliniguide list in the assesment area.

Copying an encounter as a template doesn't copy the provider comments in Subjective, Objective or ROS
This would help the providers a great deal in quickly establishing templates of their own to speed up patient processing. Currently, the provider can select copy encounter to template but it won't bring over any of their comments.

Encounters marked for the wrong DOS
There needs to be a warning or some sort of setting to help with this before the encounter is signed or sent to billing. Maybe a pop-up warning could appear if the encounter date of service doesn't match any appointment date in PM or any vital date in EMR.

Editing or Deleting Prescription Once Printed from Encounter
It would be nice to be able to edit or delete a prescription once it has already been printed. Right now if the provider needs to change it prior to signing the encounter, they need to add another prescription, sign off and then delete the incorrect script from the Medical Info tab which is inconvenient.

Add Meaningful Use Measure Checks to Rule Manager Conditions
Add Meaningful Use measure checks to the conditions within the Rule Manager. For instance, upon opening a chart, check "____" meaningful use measure.
Example: Opening a chart (or starting an encounter), if the requirements for CQM NQF0002 has not been fulfilled, display a box that lets the user know that they need to address this measure.

Scrolling on JPG and TIFF Documents
When opening a Word or PDF document within DMS, the scroll wheel provides scroll functionality (up/down) on the document. However, when opening a JPG or TIFF document in DMS, the scroll wheel does nothing.

Portal User Scroll Bar Missing
Place a scroll bar beside the list of portal accounts when mapping a user account. Not all users have scroll wheels on their mouse and would prevent them from scrolling to the bottom of the list.
