Lab Monitoring
Just like the Fax Monitoring and Prescription Monitoring function, it would be great to be able to have a Lab Monitoring function within the Administration area. A quick easy way to see if the lab requisition was sent successfully, or had any sort of issues being processed when sending the lab requisition. Breaking down the statuses and information, much like the prescription monitor does.

The lab orders can be monitored from the desktop orders area currently using the status flags. ex. when an order for Quest labs is created and the specimen is collected the status is requested. The interface will look for these orders and send them to the lab company. When the lab receives the order the status in the EMR is changed to request sent. With the available filters you can narrow a search by lab and status to see if orders are not processing for some reason. We purposely did not add a monitor under the administration area so any user can see the status of an order without having the administration role.
