We would like a practice setting for expiring orders. Currently, the only way to do this is one by one. I would like to be able to set expiration timeframes in the system that when an order is left requested/partially performed status after "set time" by order type that the order is expired.
Example: Patient is told to come back and get repeat labs. Patient never shows. Lab order would change status from requested to expired if it was not performed after set timeframe.
--I have mixed feelings about if we should send notifications to person ordering. Maybe a monthly report of expired order we can run would be best.
