Is it possible to have the EMR query a state prescription registry like the Rx Hub?

Make available for suboxone prescribers the ability to check RxHistory on State Drug Registries
Var Name: Main Street Medical
Client Name: Dr. Vijesh Patel
Contact Name: Laju Patel
Description of Request: In the state of Texas, recent changes have been made in the laws to allow suboxone prescribers to see more suboxone patients. In the past, providers were limited to seeing only a certain number of patients (100 or 150 patients). Now, they are able to see more patients, but in exchange for this, they will have to check a state drug registry (much like the RxHub Rx History registry). Logging in to and using this registry is very time consuming. This practice would like to know if it might be possible to set something up, like the setup in the EMR Manager for Rx Hub under Communication, whereby the state drug and medication history database might be read, and drug and refill date histories downloaded on a patient by patient basis. In the EMR Manager for Rx Hub, for any patient on the appointment schedule, an SQL job runs in the early morning hours to send an Rx History request to the Hub, and then receives the results and displays them under Rx History in the EMR. Practice wants to know if such a feature could be set up to query the state registry.
Requested Steps to define spec: Most likely, I'm hoping this could be done by creating another communication category similar to Rx Hub Rx History to be set up in EMR Manager, and similar information (drug name, prescriber, and fill and refill dates) to be displayed in the EMR. Perhaps a new entry called 'State Rx History' could be made to appear with the Rx History category, so that if the State Rx History is clicked, it shows the results from the state registry.
Expected Result: State Rx History results displayed when that entry is clicked.
Actual Result: Rx History showing drug, strength, and last fill date(s) showing for each fill and refill of the prescription.
Impact on Workflow: Would allow the suboxone prescribers to meet the requirement of consulting the state registry for the required percentage of suboxone patients (actually for all of the suboxone patients).
See comment for details. PMP system does not have outside integration available.

The PMP Aware system does not have any integration with Surescripts or an EHR application available.
Below the response from the program support when asked if there was integration:
No, there is no integration between Surescripts and our system or with an EHR application. Pharmacies can automate the process through FTP transmission, but there is no direct integration from outside systems to the PMP system. We have closed ticket #2064754.
