Next Appt. in Test Results/Desktop navigator
The providers have requested a "next appointment" line in the Test Results tab under the desktop navigator. When reviewing their lab results here, it would be nice to know when the patients next appt. is so they know what kind of action to take in notifying the patient of there results. Right now they have to open the patient's chart to see this information. If there could be a Next Appt. line populate at the bottom in the preview pane, that would be wonderful!

spell check
It would be beneficial to have an appropriate spell check, not one that checks every single word, throughout the entire system, but specifically in the encounter section. The current spell check checks every single work in the encounter. It would be nice if the spell check only checked misspelled words. It would be even more helpful if the spellcheck was similar to a Word or Google document where it would underline in red if a word was misspelled. Thanks!

Open multiple attachments at a one time.
Before version 18 you could have multiple attachments open. Now you cannot open more than one attachment at a time. I know there is an option to open DMS and open multiple documents there but being able to open multiple attachments is a lot easier for our providers and staff.

Organize and Process Orders By Location
Include the ability to create and organize orders by a given location/department). For instance, for multi-location practices, often providers/users float between locations. But with the ability to assign orders to a given location, the organization can create/filter orders that were placed for that individual location. This enhancement would need to include both the ability to specify the location on the order as well as a filter option on the Desktop similar to the provider filter.
If the order is created within an encounter, it could default to use the location where the encounter is created. If the order is created…

see schedule while in note
It would be very beneficial to be able to view the schedule/patients checked in while in an encounter. It is very time consuming to have to exit an encounter while charting to see if we have patients ready for provider.

Referral order print secondary phone number
Currently the referral order print out shows the patient's primary phone number. We would like the print out to also show the patient's secondary phone number.

Scheduled On filter or column on orders
Procedure and referral orders have a place to enter scheduled on date and time. I would like to be able to filter or sort by the scheduled on date in order to follow up. Right now I have to open each order to check the scheduled on date. No way to easily see or filter on that scheduled date.

Allow editing a letter when attachment viewer is open (see screenshot)
(2.) When writing a letter, I have the ability to open the patient monitor from the (3.) "?" in the upper right. If I want to view an attachment (3.) I click on attachments, (4.) open the attachment and DMS view opens. However, if I want to edit the letter I was working on, I have to first close the (4.) attachment view. DMS is still open, and if I want to review multiple attachments while writing my letter, I have to close the (4.) attachment viewer before editing. See screenshot. numbers are noted on screenshot

Associated Diagnosis on CliniGuides
I would love to be able to create ? (mark as question) items under the associated diagnosis option when making CliniGuides. This would just simply be a time saver with ordering labs. When you have labcorp staff working in the EMR, our staff have to complete the window, Labcorp staff are not allowed to pull in the codes. Having proper codes available for selection with the "mark as question" would make this job easier in the encounter for our staff.

Deactivate portal account from EMR
We have a patients who have decided not to use their portal. I deactivate their account on the portal admin side, so they should not receive any more messages. However in the EMR, they still show an active portal account. This leads the provider to believe that the patient is receiving the message, lab results, etc. when in reality they are not. Can you add a way to deactivate the portal account in the EMR?

Spacing on printed Med Info Report
When looking at the Medical Information Report, the Problem List can be hard to read if there are a lot of entries for a patient. Some providers like to add comments to the diagnosis codes, and when printed, the area becomes cluttered looking.
Some sort of spacing after each diagnosis code or bolding of the diagnosis code and description could potentially make this area easier to read and cleaner looking.

Sort Patient Portal Users in EMR Manager
Within the EMR Manager, when you add/edit/delete a portal user (Communication > Patient Portal > Edit > Step 4 of 4), the listed users are in order by the date they were entered into the application. Likewise the list is the same when creating the mapping on a user within the EMR (Access > Map to Ext Sys > MicroMD Patient Portal).
Not having this list in a useful order is a nightmare for practices with a large number of users. For instance, if the organization has 100 patient portal users and one of the users needs to have his/her…

Add Right - additional restrictions
Adjust the rights for "Add templates to shared" to allow you to check off each template type (same style as unidentified items). We have large organizations that needs to limit Shared access to specific areas.
Consider the following areas:

Changing Shading on Screening and Prevention Dates
As of right now, the due dates for Screening and Prevention do not change colors until the day the program becomes due. This doesn't feel like ample time to give the clinic and patient enough of a heads up to get the patient in in a timely manner.
A practice preference setting in the EMR Manager could be used to say "mark S & P as due ____ days in advance rather than have it marked as due on the day of."

Mail message TO field
Users wants to either have the TO field defaulted via a user preference under tools or a drop down to pull a common list so she doesn't have to open an extra window every time.
The drop down list could mimic the the drop down from Scheduled Visits or could be like the drop down for justifying diagnosis for a lab order.

BMI
EMR- VITAL SIGNS AREA:
BMI: The area under the HT/WT/BMI area where it says "BMI not taken". We are a bariatric surgery office and it would be more accurate to say, "BMI not calculated" because you do not take a patients BMI. You take their height and their weight to obtain the BMI calculation.
This reasons for inability to calculate are not accurately portrayed in the drop down reasons provided. It should possibly state: 1. Unable to weigh due to scale limit, 2. Patient refuses weight, 3. Unable to measure height, 4. Pt unable to stand, 5. Scale not available,…3 votes -

edit LTM from encounter
Right now if you prescribe a new medication during an encounter, it is very easy to add it to the LTM by clicking a button and filling out a form. However, if you want to change a medication that is already in the LTM (change a diagnosis or frequency, etc.) you have to click edit LTM, then find the medication on the list, then click edit, then if you want to change the dose you have to search for the new medication.
It would be great if you could click edit LTM and have it at the very least open…

Restricted chart access for new EMR users
We have certain patients who want to restrict access to their chart to only their provider and medical assistant. When we add a new EMR user, it automatically gives them access to all patients charts. I can't possibly remember all the charts we have restricted over the years, and remember to go into those charts and remove the new user each time. Is there a way to streamline this process?
I find myself going into charts that are supposed to be restricted, and discovering that all of our new EMR users also have access to these charts.
