  1. EMR: on rx pad, needs pharmacy name on request

The provider can not see what pharmacy a prescription is going to or has been requested when she is approving/denying rx requests. This affects # day supply sometimes depending if patient is using mail-order or other pharmacy. The pharmacy name doesn't show up until rx info has been filled in and it's on the action page.

  2. default selection fields on desktop

We would like to be able to change the default for fields when on the desktop. For example, when you are in the referrals in page on the desktop, it defaults to the user for the provider field. It takes extra time to change the provider field to All every time you open the page. We use this field to track hospitalizations and to call for transition of care.

  3. Add button to lock Lab Order in Orders Screen (Desktop or Chart)

When a lab order is created, it remains editable. The comment box within it is always editable. The diagnosis box and the panels ordered box is editable, so long as the order is not resulted and signed by the person entering results. What is being requested is a button (near the Add or Edit button), or perhaps within the order dialog itself, allowing a provider to lock the order (panels box, diagnosis box and comment box) from deletion or editing. The fact that an order can be placed, and then later changed by any user within the practice (as to…

  4. Revise mapping tool to allow for mapping from Common List itself

    Var Name: Main Street Medical
    Client Name: N/A
    Contact Name: Jim Popp
Description of Request: In the user's common list, allow the user to right click an assessment in the list that needs to be mapped ("(X)" in the ICD10 position), and this would produce the New and Edit Functions. If Edit is selected, open the Edit Diagnosis window, which would allow the user to go ahead and map one or more ICD10 codes to the ICD 9 selected. This would allow the user to walk right down their common list and map it in place.

  5. Fetal Ultrasound in Pregnant Patient

Client is asking and I agree. It does seem to be working as designed but I feel an enhancement to the design may be necessary.
In the Fetal Ultrasound if they enter an incorrect option in both the Amniotic Fluid and Umbilical Cord fields they would like to be either able to delete or choose a blank line. Right now you just have the option of choosing another option.

  6. Pharmacy Script Request on former patients

When a patient transitions out to a new PCP, whether we have closed their chart or not in EMR, the pharmacies (not knowing that they have changed PCP’s) still electronically send requests to our physician to renew those patients scripts. Dr. Lilly, not knowing that they have transitioned out, is still able to refill their scripts. In other words, even though a chart may be closed (Non-Active), there’s nothing in EMR that prevents their scripts from being refilled electronically.

  7. Provide user defined merge fields for all letter types

Open up the available merge fields or allow users a group of user defined merge fields for all letters and encounter reports.
MicroMD is built on a database structure which should provide access to any discrete data that the practice may need to merge; however, the defined merge set is very limited. The limits are progressively more rigid based upon the type of letter or form desired.
Increasing the number of fields as they are requested would be an ongoing task that would never be complete due to the diverse needs of different specialties. Opening up the fields for user…

  8. Load Template

Client would like the ability to load text templates within the mail message. Currently they are typing out basic information about what they need and specifics about the patient to send to someone else in the practice that are in other parts of the chart. The ability to load a text template with access to merge fields would be a time saver as they need to provide specific information for that user to be able to follow through with what they want and be able to document everything needed.

  9. report for screening and prevention done

I need to run a report showing me screening and prevention programs. According to support there is no way to do this as of now. I would like this to be an option so that I can track what has been done not just what is due.

  14. Referral Order Insurance Selection

On referral orders, the insurance pre-populates with either the primary or secondary insurances available, and only two insurances for selection, from the dropdown. There needs to be the option for a third insurance, or all insurances that are associated with that patient. For example a tertiery insurance or Worker's Compensation. This is especially true for any sub-account patients. Currently, it only allows you to select from the primary account insurances. If the patient is a sub-account, but has their own (self) Worker's Compensation insurance, you do not have the option of selecting that insurance. All insurances that are associated with…

  15. When a user prints an order for an In-House custom lab panel, make the names of the constituent panels print on the order

Currently, if a user enters a custom lab panel in the EMR Manager (example: System = In-House, Custom Lab Panel Name= "Follow-Up Diabetes", Constituent Panels= 1. Basic Metabolic Panel, 2. HbA1C). If you create an order and print the order, what prints is "Follow-Up Diabetes". The practice would like the following to print: "1. Basic Metabolic Panel, 2. HbA1C". The reason: This feature (printing all constituent panels and tests) would allow them to enter the order through the EMR and save it there, and print a copy and give it to the patient to take to the Lab.
    Requested Steps…

  16. MD comments on faxed labs

Make any comments the MD writes on labs private to our office. Currently, if we need to fax labs to another office after the MD has commented on the labs in the analysis field, those comments are on the results that are being faxed.

  17. Create filter for chart summary at user preferences

Create a filter for chart summary at user preferences that when set at user pref level, will apply to all patient charts. The client wishes to see encounters only for specific providers, and while that ability is available at the patient chart level, it resets every time you close a patient chart and has to be reset for the next patient chart.
Requested Steps: Tools, User Preferences, Chart Summary Options, Display only specific providers for all items already checked on chart summary options.
Expected result: Provider or user will move from patient chart to patient chart and not have to…

Description of Request: the ability to default a Location Type in an Encounter Header. i.e. Geriatric providers’ only sees patients at a Nursing Home, instead of having to manually change the Location Type to 32 Nursing Home Facility there should be a default setting either in the EMR Manager or in the User Preferences to set a default Location Type for encounters.

  19. ability to copy common list of educational materials

Finding educational materials is challenging. There is no way to copy a common list from another provider (of institution specific edu. materials). With PCMH stressing this, it would be great if we could have one provider add new edu. materials to their common list and other providers be able to copy that common list just like you can copy all other common lists.

  20. Procedure Orders sent thru EMR fax-add more patient info including social security # and more phone contact numbers for patient

On cloud based EMR-when we create an order-say a mammogram request-and then fax that order to the local hospital thru the fax in the EMR-

the order that is faxed has a box on it for patient information-

in it, only patient name, address, one phone # and DOB and gender is in it.

Any way to add: Social security number and additional phone #'s and email in that box?

The local hospital we use only uses SS # for patient ID and they have asked for it as well as for additional phone #'s to contact the patient.
